My entries aren't syncing between devices
Pocket PnL syncs through iCloud, so each device has to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on. Then:
- Check the sync status row in Settings. It shows what has reached iCloud and names any problem.
- Make sure the device is online. Entries made offline are saved on the iPhone and sync once it reconnects.
- If your iCloud storage is full, sync can't upload until there's space.
Your entries are always saved on the iPhone first, so a sync problem doesn't lose what you logged there.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
Sign in to the new iPhone with the same Apple Account and install Pocket PnL. Your entries download from your iCloud. If you never used iCloud on the old phone, your data exists only on that phone, so turn iCloud on there and let it sync before you switch.
How do I restore Pocket PnL Pro?
Open the Pro screen at the top of Settings and tap Restore Purchases. It works on any iPhone signed in to the Apple Account that bought Pro.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings, find the export section, choose All, Year, Month or a custom range, and share the CSV file. See CSV export for the columns and how to open the file.
How do I delete all my data?
Open Settings, then Backup & Sync, then Delete All Data. It removes your entries, receipt photos, categories and cards from the iPhone and from your iCloud right away, and it can't be undone. Export a CSV first if you want a copy.
My reminders don't show up
Reminders are local notifications, so Pocket PnL needs permission to send them. Check Settings, then Notifications, then Pocket PnL on your iPhone. A Focus mode can also hold them back. You can set up to five reminder times in the app.
Quick Add didn't understand what I said
Start with a money word and an amount, like "spent 12 on lunch" or "got paid 600". Quick Add reads English sentences and makes one entry per sentence. Nothing saves until you tap Save, so you can fix the draft. See how Quick Add reads a sentence.
Is there an Android, iPad or Mac version?
Not yet. Pocket PnL runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
Can I lock the app with Face ID?
Not at the moment. Your data is protected by your iPhone's passcode and your Apple Account.
